The Challenge
Fitness professionals and trainers lacked a centralized hub for resources, networking, and brand affiliation perks. Reebok needed to deepen ties with instructors do drive product adoption amid rising competition from Nike and Under Armor.
Reebok’s ask: Create ad dedicated platform where fitness professionals could build profiles, access exclusives, and monetize recommendations, scaling from a US pilot to a full global rollout.
My Role
Program Manager. ReebokONE emerged during Reebok’s push into connected fitness for alternative marketing and revenue streams. I spearheaded the journey, blending user research with rapid iteration to deliver a unified global experience.
1. Ideation and Research. Started with ethnography among trainers and instructors worldwide. Identified pain points like preferential access to gear, limited networking, and no easy way to earn from endorsements. Brainstormed core features: personalized profiles, global directories, and affiliate commission tools. Workshops refined the “world’s fitness community” vision, ensuring it aligned with Reebok’s “Be More Human” ethos.
2. Proof-of-Concept and MVP Build. Developed a POC with wireframes and clickable prototypes, testing with US-based trainers for feedback on usability. Built the MVP using agile methods: Integrated eCommerce for 25% discounts, commission tracking and recommendations, and social features like content sharing. Early versions included mobile apps for calendar management, goal tracking, and client interactions, iterated based on beta user sessions.
3. Global Scaling. Rolled out to key markets like the UK, Germany, France, Japan, South Korea, and Russia. Customized for local languages and regulations, while maintaining core features. Collaborated with regional teams to adapt content to local markets.
The Solution
ReebokONE: The Hub for Fitness Professionals.
Core Platform: Website and app where pros created custom URLs, uploaded credentials, and built profiles showcasing specialties like CrossFit or yoga.
Perks and Tools: 25% product discounts, affiliate commissions on recommendations, exclusive content (workouts, events), and networking via global directories.
Mobile Integration: Apps for managing calendars, tracking goals/rewards, and client communications, with reatures like motivational reminders and performance analytics.
